About Twitter Profile Labels

Twitter uses visual identity signals like labels and badges on account profiles to help distinguish between various account types and to give more context about them. While some of these labels are generated by Twitter, others are the result of user activity. Here is a list of the labels and badges that are frequently seen on account profiles. Applied Profile labels by Twitter Checkmark in Blue The blue checkmark can indicate one of two things: either that a user's account has been verified according to Twitter's previous verification standards (active, notable, and authentic), or that the user has an active subscription to Twitter Blue, the company's new subscription service that launched on iOS on November 9, 2022.
